She's been working with ceramics since the 80s and learned the trade from the legendary ceramist Pietro Maddalena in Certaldo, a charming village near Florence. She's been making beautiful ceramics ever since, and had a pottery shop in San Gimignano for 10 years! Gioia is an expert in teaching young adults with learning difficulties ceramic and art, and now she's embarking on an exciting new chapter in London with Claystation, a small pottery school located in East London.
