Gioia will send a reminder to all participants to confirm the attendance or skip for the week so she'll plan the lesson accordingly.
Down here you'll find the 5 weeks plan, that of course can be slightly modified with the teacher if you have something specific you would like to achieve.
WEEK 1 - Introduction to wedging, centering, pulling, and throwing a bowl shape
WEEK 2 - Practise your skill making bigger and taller pieces. Trimming tutorial for the previous week work
WEEK 3 - Introduction to new shapes like cylinders and plates
WEEK 4 - Free-throwing work, trimming and handle making techniques. Choose your favourite five items to be bisque fired to be ready to glaze in the following weeks' class
WEEK 5 - Short introduction to the glazing process - you will be dipping and painting your pots!
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- Collect your pieces from Claystation in usually 2 - 3 weeks' time.
- The class include all materials (clay, tools, glazes, ect...)
- Maximum class size - 5 people
WHAT TO BRING TO THE CLASS
- Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dusty and dirty
- Comfortable shoes
- Your own apron if you want (we provide if not)
